MVRDV联合深圳市城市规划设计研究院与创始点咨询，一同入围深圳蛇口渔港升级改造工程方案设计国际竞赛。此番评选为第一阶段，包括资格预审和概念提案。在来自国内外150余家设计单位组成的51个参赛团队中，共有8个团队入围（无排序）并进入下一阶段的概念方案竞赛。

MVRDV, together with Shenzhen Urban Planing & Design Institute and DOFFICE, was shortlisted in  International Competition for Conceptual Design of Shekou Fishing Port Renovation. From 51 competing teams out of 152 international design firms, 8 teams were shortlisted (without ranking) in the first phase of the competition - Pre-Qualification and Design Proposal, and will enter the concept design phase.

作为国家一级渔港，蛇口渔港几经变迁，承载着不少深圳人的记忆，是城市发展的历史见证和缩影。自贸区的建设、粤港澳大湾区纲要的实施、深圳湾滨海休闲带的建成为蛇口带来了全新的面貌，这片印着改革开放印记的片区，已有了新的历史定位，老渔港也在等待着新的历史转折。

Shekou Fishing Port, a national first-class fishing port, has witnessed the development of Shenzhen and bears the collective memories of the people here. Along with the construction of the Free Trade Zone, the implementation of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the completion of the Shenzhen Bay Coastal Leisure Zone, Shekou has taken on a new look, and the old fishing port here is waiting for a new identity.

为延续蛇口渔港的特殊文脉，增加城市文化空间的多样性和体验层次，拟通过国际竞赛征集优秀设计方案，对渔港进行整体升级改造，使之成为一张深圳文化的闪亮名片。

To inherit the special context of Shekou Fishing Port and to diversify the experience of the urban cultural space, the fishing port will be upgraded, by means of international design competition, to become a new cultural landmark of Shenzhen.
